The Bridgertons: Happily Ever After By Julia Quinn

The Bridgertons: Happily Ever AfterThe Bridgertons: Happily Ever After by Julia Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I've been dying to read this one for months, I always wondered what happened to the Bridgerton brood after all the end of their book. Each part in this book had it's own eccentricities, it's own emotions some were heartwarming, others were heart-wrenching. A great sum of second epilogues:

1-The Duke and I:

I liked how Colin and Daphne kept on their close relationship for all those years. Daphne's reaction and the rest of the characters were somehow comical but Simon's brought what people might call a warm smile to my lips, he was just so happy. He looked to be somehow warmer in her, maybe with age his true-self surfaced more and more, disabling his so-called icy exterior.

2-The Vicount Who Loved Me:

This second epilogue was funny, full of mischief and all in all it was plainly as if Kate and Anthony were kids trying to outwit and out-win the other, and they took the saying "All fair in love and war" to heart, they literally used everything from bribery, to sabotage, to coping keys and finally to seduction XD

3-An Offer froma a Gentleman:

I have to say this part was one of my favorites, Poppy was a character that deserved her own happy ever after, and the mother of all wonders she did get it. Sophie made the appointment for the couple to meet, instant mutual attraction, and within maybe 10 minutes (give or take couple) of their meeting they were strolling and kissing. It was absolutely adorable.

4-Romancing Mr. Bridgerton:

In this part the only word that comes to mind is that its a "Tease", In here Penelope tries to tell her best friend Eloise that she was the famous Whistledown, they both hid secrets from each other, and when now they were in the open it was time to face each other.

5-To Sir Philip With Love:

I loved this part, Amanda's adoration and love toward Eloise was very evident in here, also her love toward her reclusive eccentric botanist father. Amanda somehow reminded me of Hyacinth more than Eloise, with the way her mind works and her train f thought, I liked how she and Charles met and bonded, nothing electrifying but comfortable and likable. Her father's reaction at the end was laughable and I think Charles did it on purpose.

6-When He was Wicked:

Here Franny was sad and even Micheal was sad, first it was for her and then it became for himself as well, but from the summary of the book we received hints that she will conceive, but the journey for her acknowledgement and acceptance of her bareness was gloomy and well ... sad. But thankfully it wasn't a long one cause as soon as she decided to live with it *viola* she's pregnant ^^

7-It's in His Kiss:

This one started funny, with hyacinth at the dress maker with her daughter, mentally asking forgiveness and admiring her mother, because her daughter was just .. like .. Her. I couldn't help myself from laughing couple of times here. I knew that Isabella had found the jewels but I didn't think that she woun't tell her parents, little children usually spill-out everything, but it was nice what she did for hyacinth at the end, like mother like daughter.

8-On the Way to the Wedding:

In this part I nearly chocked from the lump that was developing in my throat, it was so heart-wrenching seeing, reading somehow even sensing Gregory's sorrow and desperation that was trying to reach out to his wife was overwhelming. The whole time I was thinking " No he can't lose her, not after all he did to be together" and for a time I wished she would live while truth to be told I thought she would leave him alone and die. But god seemed to be merciful, she lives on.

9-Violet in Bloom:

This is my most favorite part and also the most heart-wrenching, in here it describes all of Violet's stages in life. I loved her meeting with her Edward at the ball, I felt sorry for her when he left her on her own, I kinda wanted to encourage her with that gentlemen thinking that he might become a kind-hearted lover to her (I concocted rapid fantasies around them). Like all her children I wondered was she satisfied in her life, I know she was surrounded with children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren, but was it truly enough? Didn't she want to be with someone she loved and loved her back, again? she was my favorite character in this series so I wanted to makes sure about her Happy ever after, for she definitely deserved one.

Overall, *thumps up*
