My rating: 5 of 5 stars
For an opening book it was cute, it gave obvious hints about the next couple, but the thing as many reviews complained about is that LK didn't get the main couple especially the Hero his credit, instead she focused on family trouble.
Many reviewer mentioned that they had conflicted feelings about the Heroine, well I can't deny that I had my moments. I really did love the Heroine, she shouldered all her families troubles, and she didn't find any faults in Cam. I loved how she instantly felt defensive about him, and how she dependent on him, and leaned on his shoulder. I understood that she had her pride (who doesn't) but to me sometimes it felt excessive and annoying.
What can I say about Cam, I just loved him, he was a sweet adorably teasing Hero, as a gypsy he had his misfortune of a past, but what I regretted is that LK didn't delve more in to his past, and I REALLY REALLY hated when people kept on mentioning his Romany heritage as if it was a major flaw, it might have been normal at the time, but honestly people need to grow up.
-I liked all the side characters and their quirks, and the appearance of the couple of the Wallflower series.
-I liked how LK brings out sentimentality combined with humor XD
“...whether he stayed or left, whether they walked the same path or not. They could live on opposite sides of the world, and she would still be his.”
-Have I mentioned before how much I loved St.Vincent XD
“Rohan, one of us is an unmarried man with superior mathematical abilities
and no prospects for the evening. The other is a confirmed lecher in an amorous mood, with a willing and nubile young wife waiting at home. Who do you think should do the damned account books?" And, with a nonchalant wave, St. Vincent had left the office.”
Overall, *thumps up*
