A Loving Scoundrel (Malory-Anderson Family, #7) By Johanna Lindsey

A Loving Scoundrel (Malory-Anderson Family, #7)A Loving Scoundrel by Johanna Lindsey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Since forever I've been looking forward to Jeremy's story, actually since his introduction in book 1, because it's known he's not the first bastard in the family, but he was one with unusual background and was suddenly found and was instantly adopted by the family. ^^

The whole book was entertaining and intriguing, and what I liked most about it, that it didn't focus solely on the mystery part of the book, regarding Danny's past or about just the romance between the main couple, but instead it also shined on the complete book as a whole, how a girl from the slums starts working in a higher class bachelor residence, how she starts to adjust and adapt, how the couple get to know each other, how she meets people, how she goes places and learn things for the first time, and how Jeremy slowly understands how much she means to him.

The main couple were cute together, and it figures that Jeremy's story would start the same way hi father's story did, with a cross-dressing women XD

- I liked how Danny interacted with all the characters, Jeremy, her friends from the streets, the Mallory's, her household coworkers, she was vastly entertaining, and how everyone could take to her instantly.

- The trick they played on that witch of a girl was a bit ugly but seriously she brought it on herself, and as I said she was a witch, like seriously who goes telling people they got pregnant just to get a guy, and then go pinching rivals out of the way?!

- I liked how her place in the house was settled after she succumbed to his seductions, and that didn't affect how the staff treated her.

- Loved the rat scene, it was hilarious, and then how he went and got her more pets XD

- I liked the last part the most, the reunion scene, but what I liked most was how she always hid behind Jeremy when she was scared or shy or embarrassed, it seemed both his chest and back were good hiding places. Oh yeah forgot to include where the uncles interrupted the confession moment, that was seriously funny considering it was a small scene, but since it included the usual duo of James and Tony then I guess it was to be expected.

The Present (Malory-Anderson Family, #6) By Johanna Lindsey

The Present (Malory-Anderson Family, #6)The Present by Johanna Lindsey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was certainly a holiday treat, though I'm not reading it in the holiday it's meant for XD

I liked how it showed the Mallory clan couple of years after the last book, still together, and still as entertaining as ever.

I liked how the story came to be with all the Mallorys gathering and then all are intrigued with The Present, I liked how it was infinitely connected to Jason's story, and how he finally is getting what he deserves, his happily ever after.

I liked the story of their grandmother, or great grandmother for most, it was intriguing how she lured the Viscount, how he instantly fallen in love with her, how he claimed her, how she was launched into society, how he claimed her again as his wife, and how the Present came to be.

The ending was nice, a happy gathering for a happy family, with happy news ^^

Say You Love Me (Malory-Anderson Family, #5) By Johanna Lindsey

Say You Love Me (Malory-Anderson Family, #5)Say You Love Me by Johanna Lindsey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In this one I certainly took not just a long while but forever to finish this book, I don't know how many months it has been in the Currently Reading section.

The scenario of a well-bred lady becoming a man's mistress was not a new concept to me, and I have read it twice actually, but the thing is that's the react reason that I didn't instantly read this one, the other ones were somehow grimmer which made me imagine that this one would be much worse considering the circumstances the main couple met at. But surprisingly it wasn't!

I liked the main couple, they seemed on the shy quiet type not at all like James and his wife Goergie XD. Though Derek being a Mallory doesn't have a shy bone in his body and given his statement to the family at the end of the book is prove enough, yet he wasn't as crazy as his uncles Tony and James were, and that's why I said he seemed on the quiet side, the Mallory's are crazily bold in some areas men and women alike. Kelsey on the other Hand was the shy type, she blushes a lot and not like Regina who would venture into an subject or any argument yet she's not the timid sort either.

- I liked the awkward moments when she met with Regina, and how she and the rest tried to cover it up.

- I liked the fact that what was in the story wasn't how the synopsis painted it to be, from it I imagined meanness and some ugly encounters, but I'm glad I ended up with them both happy and comfortable, and obviously enfatuated and in love.

- I liked how he was when he was frantically looking for her, how she was strong enough to delay the asshole as long as she did, and how the Mallory's handled his torture, he deserved what he got, that asshole!

- I liked how he instantly knew what he wanted and didn't give up, kept persisting and even announcing it to his family.

- I liked that his father Jason had someone, since book one till book three, I felt sorry for Jason the eldest Mallory, all three brothers loved there wives yet he seemed stuck in a loveless marriage, but I'm glad he loved a women and love her still, what's lovelier is that they are still together and she's Derek's mother.

- I liked how the family quickly accepted the fact, about him and Kelsey, not having a big fight over it.

- I liked how her aunt came in to the picture later, like a general demanding her charge back, and how she still refused to accept Derek just to annoy him, and how everything ended.

- I loved the ending it was beautiful, just wished that there was an epilogue.

A Gentle Feuding By Johanna Lindsey

A Gentle FeudingA Gentle Feuding by Johanna Lindsey
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Well maybe because this book was one of her earliest books that it felt a bit different and unsatisfactory, it's not that it wasn't good but personally I wouldn't go as far as if to say I would add it to my Favorite Shelf.

In contrast to the previous book I have read by Johanna Lindsey When Passion Rules where I liked all the characters, in her I didn't like any, not the main characters or the supporting ones. The main characters were actually annoying, the girl supposed to have a temper and gumption but most of the book she's in fear or keeps repeating "How could He/They have done this to her?" I wanted to scream every time I read that sentence. The guy is supposed to be all abut her, but most of the book he was angry or hurt, and that annoyed me they both give certain reactions without giving any explanation to the.

My only favorite scene honestly was the fire incident where the Heroine was trapped with the elderly couple inside the cottage and her husband coming to the rescue.

Overall, *thumps side-ways* it contained a lot of heartache and misunderstandings in my opinion, there wasn't enough balance between the happy moments and the sad ones.

When Passion Rules By Johanna Lindsey

When Passion RulesWhen Passion Rules by Johanna Lindsey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was one kind of book that even through the characters it made me feel that it's so far-fetched a bit, but I loved every second of it, ok some moments it made me feel annoyed and frustrated.

The whole idea of a long lost princess raised by an assassin wasn't an original but I liked it her, cause Poppy was the character I liked the most, of course I liked Alana too. But mostly I felt sorry for her, suddenly being told that she's a princess and she must travel thousands of miles to claim her place as some country's princess was so unbelievable. Yet she believed Poppy and went with him, but what I hated most was the part when she met with Christoph and she tried countless times to make him believe her and him not doing that, I really hated him for it, and it was the only dim thing in this whole story that I didn't like.

As I said before I liked Poppy very much, that even when I finished the book I kept on thinking of wanting my very own Poppy, and one that I won't change a thing about, a foreign eccentric kind-hearted former assassin who would teach all kinds of things and love me with all his heart.

I loved Alana's meeting with Christoph's family, she fitted right away, and her meeting with her father almost brought tears to my eyes, but I admit that the almost was a very reluctant one, because some of the previous books I read with father and long-lost daughter meeting's were more potent than this, yet this had it's own charm.

Overall, *thumps up* my only regret is that this book didn't include an epilogue, for I wanted to know how both Alana and Christoph would settle in to married life, I want to know what will happen to Poppy and see more of father-daughter moments (with both fathers actually)

A Man to Call My Own By Johanna Lindsey

A Man to Call My OwnA Man to Call My Own by Johanna Lindsey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It's been a while since I have properly read a new book, cause first I had my exams then I had an intense urge to re-read a series I love, and what a great book! of course it's expected from Johanna Lindsey.

I loved all characters the good and bad:

- The Main Couple: Chad and Marian were cute and stupid, really really stupid I just wanted to shake them to their senses, they had moments were they kept on being adorable and companionable and just plain cute, but more often than not plain stupid, how they developed the misunderstanding and kept at it for a looooooooooooong while I started to lose hope. There were times I expected the misunderstanding to be resolved earlier but oh no they had to stay misunderstood.

- The bitch twin sister Amanda and her husband Spencer, they were supposed to be the nemesis of both the main characters, and at the beginning they were especially Amanda, where she orchestrated and initiated the stupid misunderstanding, but at the end I started to like her actually, and they fit perfectly together.

- The Aunt and the Dad were a cute pair

- I really detested the the twin's father, he was a selfish asshole

- The moment I really hated in the book was when they first made love and at one moment he mistook her for her sister Amanda, I really wanted to punch him for that.

The Heir (Reid Family, #1) By Johanna Lindsey

The Heir (Reid Family, #1)The Heir by Johanna Lindsey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really liked this book, and truth be told I had my doubts it would be, but I gladly can admit that I was mistaken.

The story itself was splendidly done, and I loved all the characters, Johanna Lindsey had a way that made us love all the characters, my favorites were both grandfathers but I have to admit that I liked Neville more, Rafe of course, and lastly the main couple.

Sabrina was my favorite character of all in here, she was just so full of life and love, she liked people and people liked her back. I liked how she was comfortable with men, not the type to shy away or flirt shamelessly, but the type that makes everyone comfortable around her men and women alike. I felt sorry for her when everyone including herself kept going on about the only friends idea, and loved the parts that came after Duncan had convinced that he really truly loves her for herself.

Duncan in a way was an amusing character, he was like a puppet in his grandfathers hands wanting him to get married and stuff, but he was not fully in the controlled element, he just bared with it and went with the follow, and what I found mostly amusing were his every interaction with Rafe and how at the end he admitted that they were friends but pretended that it was reluctantly just for appearances sake. It was evident since the beginning he was attracted or at least intrigued by Sabrina he was just a bit of an idiot for not realizing sooner.

- I liked how both grandfathers kept on bickering, liking each other but not wanting to admit as such XD

- I almost cried at the end when Duncan embraced and finally accepted Neville and they were embracing so hard.

- I hated Ophelia, even though I'm curious about Rafe's story but since I read the blurb that it included Ophelia I think I'm gonna pass. To tell the truth, I don't want to read about her, her actions were just too appealing, maybe I will check the other books but I doubt I will read hers.

The Magic of You (Malory-Anderson Family, #4) By Johanna Lindsey

The Magic of You (Malory-Anderson Family, #4)The Magic of You by Johanna Lindsey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This series is getting better and better, I have to thank my friends Eden Creed for introducing me to Johanna Lindsey, so far I'm loving her books.

Amy was such a refreshing heroine, she literally lightened the atmosphere in any scene in the book. What I loved about her was her boldness, brazenness more like it, I have read my fair share of bold strong-minded heroine but Amy was totally different, she took boldness to a totally different level, going after her man like that, which had me going "You go girl". I loved how likable she was, how comfortable she was with the other characters like Jeremy and such.

Warren was another matter entirely, he was gruff, mean, and on time downright cruel. He kept refusing her, taunting her, thinking all kind of possibilities why she was after him, first from her being practically a "bitch in heat" to her being pregnant and wanting him to marry her, then wanting him to have sex with her so he Have to marry her. Honestly there wasn't a thing I would have changed in this book, not even the days that went on with him avoiding or ignoring her, it just made the book more worthwhile. Especially the scenes when he's so set against her, and then the next second he either full of jealousy, or pulling her to him or falling to his knees (Personally my favorite *snickers*)

- I loved how everything worked out for the previous characters and how they are settling in.

- Jeremy is one of my most endearing characters, that's why I liked how well he fitted in with the rest of the family and even becoming Amy's best friend.

- I liked how the two pirates that worked for James in his ship now working as his butlers, oh how I wish I could see Arty and Henry XD

- I liked that Chinese guy who's was like their prison guard "Taishi" or something, he was funny, and I would have loved if he really left with Warren and started to work in their household.

- Yeah the two young uncles, are like a comedy duo they are just so funny I can't help myself from grinning whenever they are mentioned

- One last thing I especially loved the spanking scene XD

Gentle Rogue (Malory-Anderson Family, #3) By Johanna Lindsey

Gentle Rogue (Malory-Anderson Family, #3)Gentle Rogue by Johanna Lindsey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was the cutest book I have read in a very long while (re-reads not withstanding), and the best Malory book so far, and to tell the truth its way better than the previous two.

Georgina was a funny character and immensely amusing to read, one of the reasons that endeared the Malory family to me is that they were a big brood, and an addition to another brood was a big welcome, I loved her relationship with her brother and with Mac, it reminded me of Regina from the first book. She was a bit over-confident especially at the beginning but I guess James remedied that XD

James was the typical hot-sexy-bully-pirate, he practically oozed sexy, especially with that gold earing of his. He was mischievous and horny most of the book, but mostly amusing honestly, even when he did mean stuff to her, like telling her brothers that she was his mistress when she was right there. I thought that was over the top a bit, but when he told her the reason later I just loved him all the more, he had a way for apologizing at the end that made d two thing *drool & sigh*

This story was lighthearted honestly, and pretty interesting and funny, the sarcastic and taunting remarks that some characters said made me laugh so hard that people started looking at me as if I turned crazed. One of the best scenes that I liked is when Jeremy dragged her home with him, she trying to pull a way and started to kick him, then discovering that he tried to protect her was just adorable.

Tender Rebel (Malory-Anderson Family, #2) By Johanna Lindsey

Tender Rebel (Malory-Anderson Family, #2)Tender Rebel by Johanna Lindsey
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I was disappointed in this book, I expected more for dear uncle Tony, and I realized from these two first books that there is a pattern, at least one main character is an ass, and in this case it's the dear lady.

I still loved Anthony in here, even thought he acted mean most of the story in retaliation, still I felt him sweet and loving, even in moments when he was giving her a lesson he could help but be tender and devoted to her.

Roslyn in my eyes was a self-centered bitch, I know that I sound mean, but she deserved what she got, her circumstances not withstanding, I read about more desperate circumstances that hers. Since the beginning she was judgmental and distrustful with Anthony, and I hated when she was making the decision she kept saying it's not fair when he treated her like that making it sound as if it was His fault! I really had an intense urge to slap he face and pull her hair (and I'm the peacemaker in my family). She kept getting made at him over nothing and making everything his fault, he's the problem, he's the unfaithful, he's the one who shouldn't be trusted, he's the pauper, all him never her.

I was really disappointed at the ending, it was not satisfactory, she got way too easily with her action. first she didn't trust him accused him of adultery, then made some idiotic rules that cause them to drift more apart, just like that with a simple letter from his brother ad couple of tears from her and he's like it's okay now! are you fucking kidding me?! She should have trusted him from the beginning, if not his actions should have spoken for themselves. I was fuming most the time, hating her reaction and attitude toward Tony when he was innocent from all accusations.

Love Only Once (Malory-Anderson Family, #1) By Johanna Lindsey

Love Only Once (Malory-Anderson Family, #1)Love Only Once by Johanna Lindsey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a great opener!!! Johanna Lindsey certainly knew how to begin a delightful story, form the main characters to the introduction of the rest that will follow, unlike some opening books where some authors focus on the background story and lose sight of the events and characters of the current book.

I of course loved Regina, not at first but I grew to admire her gumption. Of course I loved the rest of her family and her connection and attachment to them, especially the four uncles, they were all just adorable. At first I thought her a spoiled brat, but oh how she proved me wrong. if I was in her place I would have done it all differently, and I'm not ashamed to say that I wouldn't have had her steel backbone, for not all women would stand and tolerate what her beloved  *snort* husband did to her and still stand straight and face him, take over his home and not resort to her family. I guess the thing I would have done the same and wouldn't change it for the world is that when he dumped her at his home and was about to leave she never told him about the baby, no matter that he was supposed to know about his son, if he didn't want her then so be it, she did the right thing, because if she told them she would have regretted it her whole life thinking she pinned him to her through a child , not love.

Him I totally hated and never sympathized with. Nicholas was a total asshole through and through. He wasn't like usual male characters, where his past was a huge mess that tormented him to act that way.The things he did to Regina were despicable from their engagement till they finally got things straitened out. His Bastardy wasn't that big of an issue, is character was the type that didn't care what society thought he even said so at the beginning of the book, but he contradicted himself throughout the whole novel. He wants but pushes her away, he wants he but seek other women, he wants her but leave her at the wedding night, he wants her but left her for over 6 months, he wants her but fights her.But I never hated him more until when he came back and thought the baby wasn't his, all I could think of was Fuck You.  He keeps saying that he always regrets whats he said or done to her, but it couldn't help she will hate him just because he was a bastard. But I have to admit and give him some credit to his feelings for her, even though reluctantly, he did love her, his reaction when her uncle James who still was Captain Hook t him told him that he kidnapped her was praise worthy, and at the end after they patched things up and cleared the skies from any other misunderstanding his behavior changed a great deal you can say he unleashed his feelings for her since she knew the whole thing now and didn't give a damn.

What I really liked was the Mallory family, they were so lively and loving and protective of each other, just how they all were doing everything for Regina was proof enough, and I loved that the ref was mended between the brothers, the scene where Anthony met Jeremy and was shocked to see him so identical to him and then suddenly was pulled in to a bear hug and he hugged him back I just went Ahhh~

All I Need Is You (Straton Family, #2) By Johanna Lindsey

All I Need Is You (Straton Family, #2)All I Need Is You by Johanna Lindsey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Johanna Lindsey's novels are starting to be more promising by the minute, since I'm liking the first series I read from her, I can't help but look forward to the next.

Casey was the daughter of Courtney and Chandos the main couple of the first book, she takes after her father in everything, in both looks and temperament, but that never stopped her being close to her mom which I thought was a nice touch because the differences between them didn't cause a drift or favoritism of a sort and I found her stubbornness is a bit over the top especially leaving her family home after a huge tantrum and wanting to prove herself only to work as a bounty hunter and no one noticing that she was a women , I thought that particularly far fetched a bit.

Damien was a bit of a fashion stuck up, I liked his insistence for vengeance, it reminded me of Chandos a bit, so I guess we can see a pattern here. couple of things annoyed me, which made me a tad protective of him, since obviously I'm a city girl, I hate it when people judge others just cause they hail from the city and don't know something doesn't make them useless, cause that's what Casey did for the most part of their journey, and her father did too, cause they kept thinking and making assumption that Damien can't take of himself, and Casey feeling that she's like a mother taking care of her child, oh pleeeeeeeeeeeez. Another thing, I haven't read about any guy main or secondary who blushes as the author made Damien blush here, it was annoying actually, keeping on reading about him blushing every time he couldn't do something.

A Heart So Wild (Straton Family #1) by Johanna Lindsey

A Heart So Wild (Straton Family, #1)A Heart So Wild by Johanna Lindsey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Recently one of my friends in GoodReads recommended Johanna Lindsey To me, and this is my first novel by her, and I have to say I liked it ^^

Honestly, at first I got confused because the first couple of chapters didn't involve the main characters much, for a bit I was like "Am I reading the right book?" But then I started to understand, when events started to explain themselves.

I liked the main characters, Courtney "Cat eyes" started off timidly at first, but during the journey and 24/7 presence of Chandos with her rubbed off on her, and she started to grow more bolder, more braver. I loved her moments she faced off her kidnappers both times.

In here Chandos felt to me a bit cruel, not the ones that derive pleasure from physical cruelty , but the type that distance himself from others while hurting them with his words, but he did have his physical moments as well, like his first night with her when he wanted to teach her not to trust anyone, even him. Plus his first time he saw her, when he pulled her hair, but after that I liked the part when he kept a bit of her hair with him these last four years.

I looooooooooved the ending part, when she met his father, then her father, then he came back for her and finally confessing to each other, if only there was an epilogue *sigh "of regret" * XD
