Truly (New York, #1) By Ruthie Knox

Truly (New York, #1)Truly by Ruthie Knox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This one was a bit longer than the last couple of books I read, which was an interesting change.

- I think the hero and the heroine were an interesting couple, at first the contrast was drastic which was one of the main factors that made it interesting, because it was so strange and unexpected combination, which ended up with a cute result. If you want a simplified version it's like a parody of Beauty and the Beast: the hero is all gruff and angry and it seems the heroine has this amazing calming effect on him, where the heroine is beautiful but unlike the fairy tale no one notices except the hero and actually not even at first, and he is the one who gets her out of her shell and shows her around the city like the Beast did with Belle around the castle XD

- I liked the part when they started to get along till the drive, after the drive not so much except the ending. Cause before when the were in NY it was like they were exploring each other and shedding their layers, and in the road trip they were more into their comfort zone with each other, but when she got home and her family showed up it kinda went downhill.

- There was more monologue than actual conversations which made feel like skimming some parts because I felt they were repeating themselves with each main character and their fear.

- I just was bummed at the end because there wasn't any epilogue, it would have been nice if there was one, to know how they would settle in NY or him introducing her to his friends, them starting their own businesses and getting their own place, it would have been more comforting to know about their future.

Overall, *thumps up*
