My rating: 3 of 5 stars
It's my first christina Dodd's book I read, I have to say it had a charming wit, nice descriptions and my-type of writing.
- Liked the Heroine, how bold and straight forward she was, and her background was more of a bonus and a twist to me. Especially when she wanted to kiss the Hero, she didn't hesitate, just grabbed him and pulled him in to a kiss.
- The Hero was entertaining, how he was infatuated with the heroine, and kept flirting with her, he kinda ruined the whole image at the end when he turned in to a complete jackass.
- What really bothered me here, is how much he hurt her, and how the writer didn't prolong how guilty he felt after he discovered the truth, and how quickly she forgave me. Like honestly Dude! he accused her of everything, raped her, blamed her and planed to imprison her, and everything she did was love the bastard(well he wasn't a bastard before but he honestly turned in to one nearing the end), but how fast everything worked out didn't give the story it's credit worth.
- And a spin-off of the sound of a music was a great change, I'm kinda fed up with the typical Beauty and the Beast or Cinderella.
Overall, *thumps up*
