My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The first thing I did after finishing this book was sigh, one huge contented sigh. I doubt I had any negative emotions about this book or that I didn't like it, I really loved every single bit of it.
Sophie was an adorable kind of heroine, I wanted to start talking to her because she's not the usual type I read about. Usually most heroine are different because they are either tall or with more of a figure, but Sophie was different, as other character described her she was elf-like, tiny, thin and short hair. Personally I found those characteristics more or an adorable asset than a fault. She was passive most of her life, no one gave her a chance to show her true self ... Until Vincent. After meeting him she wanted to change her usual attitude so that she would fit more in his life and not embarrass him, but of course she has done him proud.
Since the first book I had liked Vincent, I liked his relationship with the other members of the survivors club especially with George, to me they felt like father and son, the other characters described him as George's pet and even George said My Vincent, and every mention of their relationship brings a lump to my throat. George was his rock when he first got hurt, when he was both blind and deaf. He met Sophie he married her by an impulse buy oh how they fit, they found friendship, camaraderie, safety and love with each other, through her he expanded his world.
- I really adored how the other members treated him and felt about him, how every single one of them had his moment with Sophie that he was precious and they didn't want him hurt
- I liked how he wanted Sophie to feel confident about herself
- loooooved Sophie's moment with her uncle and their hug
- Adored the vengeful fistfight
- What I really liked was that even their was a small misunderstanding between the two, it was smoothed out so simply and easily, it didn't have that climax where one of them were in danger or with someone else where they confess their love to each other. They just did like a normal life usually does, it was realistic and peaceful and lovely.
Overall, *thumps up*
