The Escape (The Survivors' Club #3) By Mary Balogh

The Escape (The Survivors' Club #3)The Escape by Mary Balogh
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*sigh* I have discovered that Mary Balogh is becoming one of my favorite authors, after finishing each one of her books I can't help but sigh. She has a way with the story that makes one anticipate what's happening without making out some dangerous climaxes.

I was curious about Ben since the first book, and more when he was missing in the second, he was a Very injured person, I loved his determination to waltz and walk and I was a bit shocked at the ending when he started to use a wheelchair but in a way I was glad of it. He didn't give up, but he was content with his abilities so far and that was all that mattered. I loved his gallantry and felt sorry for his self consciousness about his legs appearances, and loved Samantha all the more for it.

Samantha aka "Ben's Sammy XD" was a victim of bad rash judgment when she was young, and a victim of secrecy from her parents regarding her family, and a victim of her family in law rigidity. I loved her decision to run away all the way to Wales and live independently. She had a scuffle with Ben at the beginning of their acquaintance but soon they were each other's confidante.

- What I loved most about Samantha was her way with Ben, she was like Sophie from the second book in that aspect, they were both conscious about the blindness and the legs but they helped in a way that kept the men's pride intact.

- I loved their moments on the beach, especially when it gave that much pleasure and confident to Ben about his legs

- Their give and take kind of insults were cute, specifically the first night they slept next to each other where unconsciously they turned toward each other and embraced and the morning teasing ahhh how cute they were

- The granddad gives the impression for instant liking, and I felt sorry for him

Overall, *thumps up*
