The Winter Bride (Chance Sisters, #2) By Anne Gracie

The Winter Bride (Chance Sisters, #2)The Winter Bride by Anne Gracie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Damaris and Freddie's story was cute and heart warming, and funny due to Freddie of course. These two were at the beginning looked to be a bit mismatched, him being te obviously notorious rake, and her being the quiet and cool innocent.

Damaris was the quiet shy type to me from book 1, she was the only one who her past was clouded in shadows, I mean her days before the brothel. I felt sorry for her, I knew her reason for not wanting to get married was because she wasn't a virgin anymore, but she didn't say how. But later after knowing the reason I wanted to cry for her, and I understood what she meant when she said, being taken to the brothel was the best thing that happened to her because she ended up meeting her sisters, and the reason for that is because what happened later was all good and joyful.

Freddie was an actor, he kept a facade for too long that he sometimes was unconscious of it, because it was instinctive. He lived in heartache most of him life, The first 12 yrs of his life he was ignored by him parents, and the next 16 yrs he was shunned and blamed for the accidental death of his brother. That's why to avoid all the pain he pretended to be the nonchalant devil may-care rake, but his parents still treated him horridly and I loved Damaris all the more for her outburst, she sure as hell showed them.

- To tell the truth I was more interested in Daisy, I sense their might going to be something between her and Flin, but who knows, and I think there is more to her than the former maid servant- would be dressmaker.

- I loved how Damaris said that Abby was more than a sister to her, and I was shocked when she made her, her maid of honor since I obviously thought it would be Jane. But I liked it more that way to be honest.

- Freddie do look elegant and non-muscle type but Damaris should give him a bit of credit and trust, every time she thing him harmless and can't fight his way out of things, which at the end was obviously false. though it is a bit amusing, especially when the sent William at the end, and he saw that Freddie knocked that guy unconscious William was regretful XD

- Aunt Bea is the most adorable character in the whole series, I liked her moments with Freddie at the beginning, I kept laughing and chuckling the whole time, she a tiny she-devil XD

- Another reason I like Anne Gracie is her mentions of other characters, even small ones, like Featherby and William, I loved when she said they were giving Damaris Fatherly smiles and congratulations (Even though I thought William was younger, maybe as a brother figure not as a father) and how Featherby was happy when he saw Abby and Damaris at the end, he is just so wonderfully resourceful too, the perfect butler for Aunt Bea

Overall, *Thumps up* now I just to have to wait for the next release of the series T^T
